Welcome to MIT, Class of 2021!  We are excited to welcome you to the Institute at Orientation!

Orientation 2017

During Orientation, you will have many opportunities to mingle with your new classmates as well as MIT faculty and staff. You’ll explore academic options, register for your first semester of classes, learn about MIT Residence Life and student life programs, and explore the campus and its resources.

Orientation includes Freshman Pre-Orientation Programs (FPOPs) offered right before the official beginning of orientation, the President’s Convocation, faculty lectures, and an academic expo where you’ll get to meet faculty and administrators for academic departments and programs. You’ll also be participating in various special orientation events and programs designed to introduce you to life at MIT.

Please explore this site, as it contains information about what you’ll need to be doing this summer, as well as detailed information about arrival dates and Parent Orientation. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Orientation Office at orientation-www@mit.edu or call 617-253-6772. Our office is open 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
